- Marine and Marine Family Support
- Providing assistance to Marines and Marine Families.
This mission has become especially important during times of deployment.
Sending care packages to deployed Marines, providing a helping hand to
those left at home that need it, support and assistance to injured Marines.

Marine Support
- Young Marines Program
- Proud sponsor of a unique youth program that strives to instill core
values and leadership into boys and girls, 8 years to 18 (graduation
from high school). Central Indiana Young Marines meet most Thursday
evenings at the Hesslar Naval Armory located at 30th and White River.

- Charles Crumbo Scholarship Program
- Providing annual scholarships to college students.

- VA Volunteer Service (VAVS) Program
- Providing volunteer help and support to hospitalized and disabled
veterans. Actively supporting the Richard L. Roudebush VA Hospital.
Our Nationally recognized Service Officers have each volunteered over
3,000 hours helping and counseling veterans.

- Working with Marine Reservists to provide toys for all needy children
during the Christmas Holiday Season.

- Stars and Stripes Program
- U.S. Flags, State Flags, Service Flags (especially USMC) and U.S. Flag Awards.
Providing history and education about our beloved U.S. Flag, Pledge of Allegiance,
National Anthem, and what our flag means to all veterans -- past, present, and future.
Awarding local businesses for the patriotic display of our nation's flag.
This Detachment also collects and is authorized to provide the proper honorable
retirement of worn and torn American Flags.

- Eagle Scout Recognition Program
- Recognizing the achievements of Eagle Scouts, this Detachment presents Marine
Corps League Good Citizenship Awards during the Eagle Courts of Honor.

Eagle Scout Program Chair
- Participating in Patriotic Events and Community Parades
- Maintain patriotic presence and pride in our community by participating
in patriotic events and parades. Our sturdy parade trailer looks like a WWII
Amphibious Landing Craft, flies the U.S. Flag and Marine Corps flag, and has
already won many awards. You are encouraged to ride in our parade trailer or
march with us and see the rousing support and respect American Citizens are
standing, shouting, and sometimes saluting, the UNITED STATES FLAG and the
UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.

- Participate in the Council's coordinating activities of all Marine
Corps organizations in the Central Indiana area.

- Publishing a monthly newsletter for many Central Indiana Marine
organizations to nearly 400 subscribers -- and growing! We need your input
of events and news items involving you, your Marine, and our Marine family.
