The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a lasting tribute to U.S. Marines--past, present, and future. Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and under the command of Marine Corps University, the Museum's soaring design evokes the image of the flag-raisers of Iwo Jima and beckons visitors to this 120,000-square-foot structure. Hiram I Bearss Marine Corps League Detachment 089 is taking a bus trip to the Museum June 14-17, 2012 .

To register for the trip a $100 per person fee is necessary.

The planned itinerary is expected to be:
Thursday, June 14th – Drive to the Washington, DC area hotel.
Friday, June 15th – Arlington National Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknowns;
World War II Memorial;
Korean War Memorial;
Vietnam War Memorial;
Iwo Jima Memorial;
Evening Parade at Marine Barracks, Washington.
Saturday, June 16th –
Tour the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
Possibility of a group dinner at restaurant near Hotel.
Sunday, June 17th – Return to Indianapolis. Time TBD.
